Karotto is a coding-learning app for children aged 7–12. We built it to be safe and private by design. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the app handles and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email us at [email protected].

1. Who we are

Karotto (”we”, “us”, “the app”) is the developer and operator of the Karotto mobile application. We are the party responsible for the information described here.

2. Information the app handles

1. Stored only on your device (never sent to us):

• The child’s display name, age, and chosen avatar
• Learning progress kept locally (lesson stars, skipped lessons, playtime, created “game” projects, sticker album)
• App settings (language, guide-voice on/off)

b) Stored on our server, tied to an anonymous ID:

• Premium status and the purchase product used
• Lesson stars (to sync progress across devices)
• A promo-code marker, if a discount code was used

c) Optional sign-in

Karotto can be used without an account. A parent may optionally sign in — behind a parental gate — so that learning progress can be backed up and restored on another device. Two sign-in methods are offered: Sign in with Apple (only available on ios) and Google Sign-In.
